The Minister of Information and Communications Technology (ICT) has appointed Dr. Amir Mohammadzadeh Lajevardi as the Deputy Minister of ICT and President of Communications Regulatory Authority (CRA).

According to the report released by the Department of Public Relations of CRA, Amir Mohammadzadeh Lajevardi was the former Deputy Minister of ICT as well as Chairman of the Board of Directors and the CEO of Telecommunications Infrastructure Company (TIC). He has a doctorate and post-doctorate degree in computer engineering from Sharif University of Technology. Furthermore, the Minister of ICT, Issa Zarepour, appointed Amir Mohammadzadeh Lajevardi as the Acting Minister in Communications Affairs, while retaining his position.
