Coincident with 25 Anniversary celebration of SATRC, 23rd Meeting of the South Asian Telecommunication Regulators Council (SATRC-23) Was Held in Tehran

Hosted by Islamic Republic of Iran, SATRC-23 was held in Tehran participated by Maldives, Nepal, Pakistan, Afghanistan, Bangladesh, Bhutan, India, Sri Lanka and Cambodia (as Observer).

Reported by CRA Public Relations, Dr. Seyed Mohammad Amin Aghamiri welcomed participants and added: “The South Asian Telecommunications Regulators’ Council, known as SATRC, has contributed significantly to the growth and expansion of regional cooperation in the field of regulation between member countries during the past 25 years, by creating great opportunities regarding issues such as frequency spectrum and policy-making, regulations and services.”

The President of CRA continued: “Now, SATRC members, having the capacities and opportunities of multilateral cooperation, can promise a bright future for the region, through cooperation and thinking with each other.”

Mentioning that the regulators and policymakers have a leading role in accelerating the growth of ICT, especially through international, regional and national cooperation, Chair of SATRC-23 declared “ The development of multilateral cooperation, as well as cooperation in the fields of exchange of knowledge, experiences and views, especially regarding policy and regulation in new technologies to achieve digital transformation, is crucially significant, and SATRC meetings are a unique opportunity to realize them.”
