The Frequency Coordination Meeting between ARS, BHR, IRN, KWT, OMA, QAT and UAE Was Held

Director General, International Specialized Organizations Bureau announced that the frequency coordination meeting was held with presence of the representatives from Regulatory Authorities of I.R. Iran, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Bahrain, Oman, Qatar and the United Arab Emirates. The meeting was held with the aim of reduction of spillover and interference in Mobile networks.

Iran, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Bahrain, Oman, Qatar and the United Arab Emirates. The meeting was held with the aim of reduction of spillover and interference in Mobile networks.

According to the report by Public Relations, Alireza Darvishi, Emphasizing on the vital role of this meeting, further explained: “Taking note of the development of mobile technologies including 4G and 5G as well as the particular condition of wave propagation across the region, coordination among the region countries is necessary to reduce spillover, eliminate potential interferences to the mobile networks and also increase quality of the services. This is exactly the reason why the frequency coordination meeting was held in Geneva at the invitation of ITU”

Referring to the presence of the representatives from relevant operators in this meeting, he added: the meeting agreed upon the regulation and technical criteria required for reduction of spillover and elimination of interferences in 4G and 5G.
